Take the dog to the sea
Summer is coming and with it our desire for vacation and the sea grows!
And what holiday would it be without our beloved four-legged friends?
But how to behave at the sea and on the beach with our furry ones?
First of all remember that the sun's rays hurt to them as to us. There are special creams to protect dogs from sun exposure, to be applied on the hairless areas and on the truffle.
But did you know that it's not just hairless dogs that risk redness or sunburn? In fact, there are many short-haired dogs who suffer from sunburn and redness due to sun exposure. What to do in these cases? Protect them with one t-shirt, even better if a lightweight t-shirt made especially for the summer like the ones you can see here.
Secondly remember that sea water is toxic to dogs, do not let your puppy swallow it to avoid stomach ache and intestinal problems.
Then follow all the tips for avoid heatstroke, bring some water with you, do not stay on the beach during the hottest hours and always check that his breathing is not becoming too labored.
In the evening, remember to rinse the salt and sand off the fur and dry it before going to sleep.
Also pay particular attention to sand, which is dangerous both in case of ingestion and in case of rubbing with the eyes. Always carry some wipes special for the eyes or a chamomile lotion that can be used in case of need (redness, difficulty in keeping the eyes open).
These few tips will help you and your dog to spend a wonderful holiday together by the sea 😊
